News

As of today, students from Concordia University, McGill University, Université de Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal, École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), UQAM and Louis-Riel high school can get their OPUS photo card directly via their educational institution’s website.

As of today, students from seven Montréal education institutions can get their OPUS photo card directly via their educational institution’s website. Participating institutions include Concordia University, McGill University, Université de Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal, École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), UQAM and Louis-Riel high school. The goal of this service is to make life easier for students and parents.

The concept is easy and convenient. You just need to connect to your education institution’s portal with your username and password, be a full-time student, have a valid Quebec address, and pay the $14 fee by credit card (this fee will be of 15 $ after August 31). The photo on your student card will be automatically sent to the STM, which will then process the OPUS photo card and mail it to you.

Approximately 60,000 online card renewal requests are expected for the 2018 back to school season.

Students must renew their OPUS photo card by October 31 each year to benefit from reduced public transit fares.
