About the artist
Born in Valleyfield, artist Maurice Lemieux (1931-1994) came to prominence in 1961 with a huge public sculpture in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. After a period living in California, he created numerous works, including the sculpture Enterspace, unveiled in 1981 at the entrance to Peel station.
