GTFS data (bus schedules and métro frequency)

STM GTFS 26J enhancements to be implemented for the next January schedule period
- Addition of a drop-off indicator only in the “stop_times.txt” table (type “pickup_type”)
- New translation file, “translations.txt,” to enable translation of the following elements:
- Agency URL and fares
- Metro line names
- Line URLs
- Stop URLs
- Description of station entrances/exits in the “stops.txt” table of type “entrance”
- Line destination (trip_headsign).
- All “trip_headsign” for each trip are translated from the “translations.txt” table, however the translation content may be incomplete. Future developments are to be expected.
The schedules 2026 will change on the following dates:
January 5, March 23, June 15, August 24 and October 26
The GTFS data are usually available 10 days before the schedule change .
GTFS previous period (from October 26, 2025 to January 4, 2026)
Shapefile format for Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Bus lines (shapes.txt) and bus stops (stops.txt) in the GTFS are available in shapefile format for easier integration into GIS. Shapefile specifications are available here.
