STM bus service modifications

Montreal, September 11, 2003 – As the Festival de la sant� will be held in the streets of Montreal next Sunday, September 14, several STM bus routes will be modified accordingly.

Service will be suspended on the following bus routes throughout the day, as indicated.

  • 14 – Amherst, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. ;
  • 15 – Sainte-Catherine, from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. ;
  • 150 – Ren�-L�vesque, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. ;
  • 167 – Les �Zles direction La Ronde, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. ;
  • 169 – �Zle Ronde, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In addition, the following lines will be re-routed at various times throughout the day between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.: 24, 29, 30, 36, 37, 55, 57, 61, 78, 107, 110, 113, 125 and 168.

Transit users are invited to call the TELBUS number featured on their bus stop panel when planning their transportation. For trip information (Montreal Island only), please call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (288-6287). More useful information can be found on the STM’s website at www.stm.info.

Bicycles in the métro
Subject to certain regulations, bringing your bicycle in the métro will be allowed during the event. Children and teens under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Participants carrying their bicycle can only travel aboard the first train car and must respect the 4-bicyle limit. They must give way to regular transit users, without hindering the flow of travellers or compromising their safety. Should an emergency require the evacuation of a train, the bicycles must be left behind.

The STM would like to remind everyone that riding a bicycle, using a foot scooter or a skateboard, and rollerblading inside a métro station is forbidden at all times.
