Free travel for children

Free travel for children is in effect at all times and allows up to five children aged 11 and under to ride public transit for free when accompanied by a person aged 14 or older who is supervising them. This person must hold a valid transit fare.

Free travel for children include travel on the 747 YUL Aéroport / Centre-Ville (747) line.

Please note that children travelling alone will still have to pay their own fares.

Travel companions who already ride transit for free (with the companion card) cannot claim additional free rides with Free travel for children, as their companion card is not a valid transit fare as defined by STM regulations.

When travelling with young children, plan ahead to ensure a safe and pleasant trip.
