The STM wishes to remind local residents and mall customers that the Boulevard shopping centre will remain open for the next few years, during the construction of the future station at Pie-IX.

With the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) officially becoming the owner of du Boulevard shopping centre today, December 1, the transit provider wishes to remind local residents and mall customers that the establishment will remain open for the next few years, during the construction of the future station at Pie-IX. In the end, solutions were found that would allow the shopping centre and the Blue line extension construction site to co-exist.

Expert assistance
The STM has given the right to operate the shopping centre to Transgesco, an STM subsidiary, following a thorough selection process. Through its subsidiary Transimmobilier, Transgesco has also hired the services of the property management company Colliers International to support it and to manage shopping centre operations. Colliers has an excellent reputation and is recognized for its extensive experience managing commercial spaces.

The experts at Colliers will keep the mall in good condition, ensure that it is operating properly and be the first point of contact for business tenants. Colliers will also coordinate the signing of new leases.

Texte important

As principal contractor and project manager, the STM aims to do everything possible to mitigate the impact of the worksite on shopping centre operations, business activities and life in the neighbourhood overall. The main goal is to maintain an optimal amount of parking and easy access to the mall. A variety of mitigation measures are planned and will be presented in due time.
