Montréal, October 2, 2013 – Building on last year’s success, “Les Beaux dimanches dans le métro”, a program presented by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM), will be returning to the Place-des-Arts station on October 6. Last year, the first edition of this toe-tapping event was attended by some 1,000 dancers.

The first Sunday of the 2013-2014 season will feature swing music. Under the guidance of a teacher from the Cat’s Corner dance school, renowned in Montréal for its expertise in Swing dance, participants will learn the basic steps to this dance made popular in the 1930’s.

The STM Métro Arts program
For a number of years now, the STM has joined forces with the cultural community to improve the public transit experience and establish a closer connection with its customers. Whether through cultural events, artists, or creative venues, the objective is the same: use the métro system to introduce new artists and high-quality performances to the greatest possible number of people while promoting the use of public transit. Improving the travel experience of its customers while transforming the métro into a showcase for unique cultural events: that is the goal of the STM in offering the Métro Arts program.
