Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum is pleased to present the Société de transport de Montréal (STM)’s model AZUR métro car in the Grand Gallery of the Angus Pavilion.

Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum is pleased to present the Société de transport de Montréal (STM)’s model AZUR métro car in the Grand Gallery of the Angus Pavilion. Unlike their rail transit predecessors, the new AZUR cars represent a significant step in the manufacturing process and are the future of métro transportation. Following the very successful spring 2012 presentation at Berri-UQAM metro station, Exporail provides visitors with the perfect opportunity of viewing the model AZUR métro car at a location steeped in history.

More information
With its streamlined modern design featuring the distinctive blue of the Montréal metro system, the model AZUR métro car was manufactured by the Bombardier-Alstom consortium in La Pocatière. 468 cars of this type will be gradually put into service beginning in 2014. This historic event in the lives of Montrealers is now available via the model car on exhibit at Exporail for the 2013-2014 season: History ahead of its time!
