Back to the home page FARE PAYMENT METHODS FOR TRANSPORT ADAPTÉ

There are two ways for you to pay for paratransit transportation.

The OPUS Card

With an OPUS card charged with a weekly or monthly fare.

coins Or in cash: $2 regular fare and $1.10 reduced fare.

Transport adapté clients cannot charge single fares on their OPUS card.

How to pay your fare aboard a minibus or taxi?

  • Clients using an OPUS card simply show it to the driver when boarding.
  • Clients paying cash give the money to the driver when boarding.

A payment method based on trust

Clients are responsible for ensuring that their OPUS card is charged with valid transit fares. When you show your OPUS card to Transport adapté drivers, they assume that your fare card is in order. That is why we call it the honour system.

Fare control

At any time, inspectors can conduct fare control. Anyone using the service without a valid transit fare is likely to be fined.

As drivers must register the payment method used by their clients on their trip sheet, this will serve as proof of payment when fares are paid in cash.

The paper tickets are no longer accepted. Clients can have them refunded at the lost and found counter on the mezzanine level of Berri-UQAM station.
