Progress report – December 2006

Traffic flow and waiting area at metro drop-off

The drop-off area for the metro is now permanently relocated next to the new daily and short-term parking areas to ensure better traffic flow and greater accessibility. It includes a waiting area of about twenty spaces for taxis and some fifty spaces for cars. Landscaping of a park and esplanade, the addition of bicycle racks, the construction of shelters and of a section of bicycle path are planned for 2007.

100 Place Charles-Le Moyne

The doors to the métro building at 100 Place Charles-Le Moyne are open again. Longueuil is going ahead with redesigning the old traffic circle to a single traffic lane. Spaces for persons with limited mobility, as well as short-term metered parking will be available in 2007.
