Negotiations with the
Syndicat des chauffeurs, op�rateurs Montreal, February 20, 2008 - Mtre Jean-Pierre Lussier rendered his arbitration decision yesterday within the context of the negotiations with the Syndicat des chauffeurs, op�rateurs et employ�s des services connexes de la STM (CUPE 1983). The STM is satisfied with this decision, which respects the negotiation framework. It puts an end to the dispute between the union and the employer on salary conditions. It will thus allow an agreement on the contract renewal for about 3,800 employees. The parties have agreed not to disclose the contents of this decision or the other points of the collective agreement on which the employees will have to vote next week at a general meeting. This agreement will then have to be ratified by the members of the STM’s Board of Directors. The STM wishes to thank Mtre Jean-Pierre Lussier for his professionalism and the diligence with which he rendered his decision. - 30 -
