Montreal, June 6, 2007 - With the
Formula 1 Grand Prix roaring through Because of the large crowds expected to use the Yellow – 4 line, the STM recommends that transit users purchase their return fare ahead of time to avoid line-ups. For $17, racing fans can also buy a three-day Tourist Pass, providing them with unlimited access to public transit during Grand Prix activities. The Tourist Pass is sold in a few métro stations, including Berri-UQAM, Bonaventure and Peel. See the STM website, under Fares, for a complete list. As large numbers of fans are expected to use the métro to attend racing events, system-wide access to the métro with a bicycle will be forbidden until 7 p.m. on June 8, 9 and 10. Bus service modifications Slight changes will affect bus
service around the islands. There will be no service on the 167 – Les Îles,
heading to La Ronde, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. either Friday, Saturday or
Sunday. Instead, transit users should take the 169 – When planning their transportation to any of these weekend events, transit users should call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (514 288-6287) for timetables at their bus stop.
