Modifications to
bus and métro service
Montreal,
22 June 2004
– The STM reminds transit users that on Thursday, June 24, the
97 – Mont-Royal, 132 – Viau, 139 – Pie-IX, 185 – Sherbrooke and 197 –
Rosemont bus routes will be modified at different times as of 1:30 p.m.,
because of the Fête nationale show being presented at parc Maisonneuve. As
of 10:30 p.m., the 80, 97, 129, 365 and 368 bus routes could also be
modified for security reasons.
In addition, because of the Vieux-Montréal en Fête
festivities, the 14 – Amherst, 36 – Monk, 55 – Boulevard Saint-Laurent, 61 –
Wellington and 129 – Cte-Sainte-Catherine bus routes will be modified for
brief periods between 5 p.m. and midnight.
métro service
Trains will be added on the métro’s 1 – Green line during the evening and on
the other lines as needed to meet with demand. As the number of activities
generate increased ridership in the métro, bicycles will not be permitted as
of 3 p.m. To avoid line-ups after these events, the STM recommends that
transit users purchase their return fare ahead of time.
Service on Thursday, June 24
On Thursday, June 24, buses and métro will be providing weekend service,
with the métro staying open as late as on Saturdays. Bus service will run
according to either Saturday or Sunday schedules.
When planning their transportation to any of these events,
transit users should call A-U-TO-B-U-S (288-6287) for bus schedules at
their stop. For other travel information, please call STM-INFO (786-4636).
