Fourth settlement since September
The STM settles with the Syndicat des professionnels

Montreal, December 4, 2003 – The chair of the Board of directors for the Société de transport de Montréal, Claude Dauphin, is proud to announce that an agreement has been reached with the Syndicat des professionnelles et professionnels de la STM, representing about 200 professional employees. The agreement, which respects the negotiation parameters proposed by the STM, still has to be approved by union members in a meeting to be held next week. Details of the agreement will be made public in coming days.

With this fourth agreement, the STM has reached settlements with 97% of its employees involved in negotiations. Talks are carried on with the Syndicat des travailleuses et travailleurs – CSN which represents 190 divisional clerks.
