Back to the Notice to our customers
Montreal, May 30, 2002 For security reasons, bicycles may only be brought into the metro at certain stations during the Tour de lZle on Sunday, 2 June. Starting at 6:00 a.m., Henri-Bourassa, Côte-Vertu, Angrignon, Radisson, Longueuil, Snowdon, and Saint-Michel stations will be accessible to passengers with bicycles. After the event, the following stations will be open to bicycles: Laurier, Fabre, and Berri-UQAM. No transfers are allowed. Bicycles must be transported in the first car of the train, and only 16 bicycles are allowed in a train at one time. Children under 16 with bicycles must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers with bicycles must board the first car of the train only, and respect the 16-bicycle limit. They must give way to passengers without bicycles and be careful not to hinder the movement and safety of others. If a train should be evacuated for emergency reasons, bicycles must be left behind in the train. The STM reminds you that it is forbidden to ride a bicycle, scooter, skateboard, or roller skates in metro stations and vehicles. Increased service frequency The STM recommends that you buy your return ticket when you first enter the metro, since the stations will be much busier at the end of the event than at the beginning. Thank you also for following the rules and respecting other passengers. Modifications to bus service There will be no service on lines 15 Sainte-Catherine, 92 Jean-Talon Ouest, and 150 Ren-Lvesque between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and on line 34 Sainte-Catherine between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. To plan your trip during the event, you can dial the TELBUS number on your bus stop sign. For more information on bus routes, dial A-U-T-O-B-U-S (288-6287). The STMs website (www.stm.info) contains lots of useful information. Paratransit
