New innovative design for STM’s Bellechasse bus garage: the first underground bus garage in North America

Valérie Plante, Mayor of Montréal, Philippe Schnobb, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the STM, and François William Croteau, Mayor of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough, have unveiled the brand-new innovative design of the future Bellechasse bus garage, which will include a large public space. The $254 million project also involves a citizen participatory process beginning in early 2019.

The STM, has unveiled a major communications campaign, Arrêt de service (Service Shutdown), designed to further improve customer experience for public transit users in Montréal. The campaign, which marks the beginning of the STM's collaboration with the agency, Publicis Montréal, aims to raise awareness of the fact that frequent service shutdowns can be attributable not only to the STM, but also to its customers.

Appointment of a mediator for negotiations between the STM and its maintenance employees union

Further to a request it submitted on September 4 to the Minister responsible for Labour, Dominique Vien, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is pleased that a mediator has been appointed for the negotiations regarding the renewal of the collective agreement with its maintenance employees union. Minister Vien has appointed Mathieu Lebrun to accompany the parties during this new phase of the negotiations.

2018 STM budget: work continues toward excellence in mobility

The Mayor of Montréal, Ms. Valérie Plante, and the Chair of the Board of Directors of Société de transport de Montréal, Mr. Philippe Schnobb, today released the 2018 budget of the STM, which totals $1.4 billion and presents a series of initiatives with the aim of improving experience.
