Montréal, March 5, 2014 – The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) reminds its customers that the Yellow line of the métro will be completely closed every Saturday and Sunday, from this weekend until May 25, due to work being carried out on the tunnel's vaulted ceiling, as announced this past December.

A second phase of weekend closures is also planned for the fall, between September 13 and December 14.

Planned works
The Yellow line project involves repairing concrete along a section of the vaulted ceiling that has experienced some groundwater infiltration over the years, as well as channelling that water and performing electrical work. The $10-million refurbishment is being carried out under the Réno-Infrastructures program and is 75% financed by Québec’s Ministère des Transports.
