The STM’s MétroArts
The STM has been involved with the cultural and artistic community for several years now because it cares about making the public transit experience more pleasant for customers while sustaining a close connection with people. Whether these events are cultural or artistic, the goal remains the same: offering up space in the metro to let the public discover new artists and high-quality performances, by making them more accessible to as many people as possible, while encouraging them to use public transit.

Making bus and metro rides more pleasant for customers and finding ways of transforming the metro into a stage for original and unique cultural performances, that is the mission the STM took on when it created its Métro Arts.

Cirque Alfonse
Cirque Alfonse was born out of the desire by family members and friends to work together to keep the roving family circus tradition alive in a contemporary context. The company’s second production, Timber!, fits into the Québecois circus landscape seamlessly.
