Holiday Schedule for STM Services


Montréal, December 10, 2009
The Christmas and New Year’s holidays will bring slight changes to Société de transport de Montréal (STM) transit services. Unless otherwise specified in Planibus timetables or on Infobus panels, normal service will be provided on the majority of bus routes, except on Friday December 25, 2009, and Friday January 1, 2010, when Sunday service schedules will be in effect on most bus routes.

As for Transport adapté’s paratransit service, regular transportation schedules are cancelled from December 25, 2009, to January 2, 2010, inclusively. However, a special reservations procedure will be in place. Thus, anyone needing transportation services during this period can make a reservation up to seven days prior to their travel date.

It should be noted that requests to modify a return time for December 24 can be processed as of December 17.

Paratransit customer service will be open Thursday December 24 and Thursday December 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon. On Monday December 28, Tuesday December 29 and Wednesday December 30, the office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Normal business hours will resume on Monday January 4, 2010. For more information on other services provided by Transport adapté, clients are invited to call 514 280-8211 (option 4).

Public taxi services are cancelled on Friday December 25, 2009, as well as on Friday January 1, 2010.

The Comments and complaints office will be open on Thursday December 24 and Thursday December 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and on Monday December 28, Tuesday December 29 and Wednesday December 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will be closed on Friday December 25, 2009, and Friday January 1, 2010.

The Lost and Found will be open on Thursday December 24 and Thursday December 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and on Monday December 28, Tuesday December 29 and Wednesday December 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office will be closed on Friday December 25, 2009, and Friday January 1, 2010.

The Information Centre will be open on Thursday December 24, Monday December 28, Tuesday December 29, Wednesday December 30 and Thursday December 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. On Friday December 25, 2009, and Friday January 1, 2010, it will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Saturday December 26, 2009, and Saturday January 2, 2010, it will be open during the usual hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

All Opus Service Centers including Berri-UQAM will be open on Thursday December 24, Monday December 28, Tuesday December 29, Wednesday December 30 and Thursday December 31, from 7 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. On Friday December 25, 2009, and Friday January 1, 2010, and on Saturday December 26, 2009, and Saturday January 2, 2010, only the Berri-UQAM Service Centre will be open, from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Métro service

On Friday December 25 and Friday January 1, intervals between trains will be about 10 minutes on all four lines.

On Saturday December 26 and Saturday January 2, trains will be added on the Green line from 12 noon to 5:45 p.m., and on the Orange line from 9:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., to accommodate Boxing Day shoppers.

For all those attending the Grand bal at Place Jacques-Cartier on Thursday December 31, the STM reminds you that the last métro departures from Champ-de-Mars station are at 12:52 a.m. toward Montmorency and at 12:59 a.m. toward Côte-Vertu. From Place-d’Armes station, the last departures are scheduled at 12:51 a.m. heading to Montmorency and at 1:00 a.m. heading to Côte-Vertu.
