For its fifth partnership with the
MONTRÉAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival,
the STM is innovating!

Montréal, February 2, 2009 As part of the Montréal High Lights Festival’s All-Nighter, the STM will provide participants with bus shuttle services, for a fifth consecutive year, to transport them to and from the various locations where performances and other cultural activities will be held that night.

But that’s not all! Indeed, to mark the Festival’s 10th anniversary, the metro will exceptionally run all night and will be accessible to all those who hold a valid transit fare.

Moreover, in cooperation with Heritage Montreal, the STM is organizing a rather original activity, the Rallye des œuvres d’art du métro, that will allow participants to discover and appreciate the wonderful works of art to be found in Montréal’s 31st museum, the metro. During the week of March 2, the STM will hold a draw among all those who took part in the rally and award winners with an OPUS card charged with the monthly CAM pass for April.

The STM is proud of its innovative participation in the Festival’s All-Nighter, as it makes it clear the STM is an essential partner to all major events held in Montréal. It also shows its willingness to forge closer ties with clients and make transit use easier for them.

The STM already provides night time bus service that, added to the metro running all night, will translate into a highly unusual offer of service for festival participants, from February 28 to March 1, for those who present a valid transit fare.

To find out more about the schedule and route of night time buses, clients should consult the STM website at www.stm.info, where they can also find more transit-related information.

When planning their transportation, transit users are invited to consult their Planibus timetables or call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (514 288-6287). For all other information, including travel directions in Montréal, they can call STM-INFO (514 786-4636).
