The STM, official transporter for La Fête des enfants
Montreal, August 7, 2008 – The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is proud to act as the official transporter for La Fête des enfants de Montréal for the tenth consecutive year.
On August 16 and 17, upon presentation of a family pass for La Fête des enfants, available at participating Montréal-area Jean-Coutu pharmacies, children and their families will be able to travel for free on buses and the métro to attend the event.
In addition, the STM is issuing a very special invitation to children and their families not only to come and meet our animators, but also to discover the Funambus, a new activity and promotion centre initiated by the STM in support of sustainable development.
It is important to note that all the elements involved in the Funambus are made from recycled materials. This repurposing project is the work of artist Vincent Vandebrouck, well-known for his environmental and sustainable development creations, including Espace Sedna in the Old Port.
Over the years, La Fête des enfants has become a popular event, bringing together Montréal’s various communities. The Société is pleased to contribute to the success of this family-oriented activity and hopes everyone enjoys the fun.
