To learn more about the Eastern Division Final...

Montreal, 14 November 2002 – The STM encourages fans attending the Canadian Football League’s East Division final game on Sunday, November 17, to use the metro. Indeed, the Olympic Stadium hosting the game is easily accessed by either Pie-IX or Viau stations.

In order to meet the demand, metro service will be adjusted according to the number of transit users, and trains will be added on the 1 – Green, 2 – Orange and 4 – Yellow lines as needed. Since ridership levels are usually heavier after the event than before, it is also preferable to buy your return fare ahead of time. Unusually large crowds are expected in the metro on Sunday, so bicycles will not be admitted between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Visitors wishing to take in as many of the football-related festivities as possible will find the Tourist Card to be their best option, since it allows unlimited transit use for one day ($ 7) or three days ($ 14). The Tourist Card may be purchased at Berri-UQAM and Bonaventure metro stations.

Transit users are invited to call the Telbus number appearing on their bus stop when planning their transportation to these events. For trip information, please call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (288-6287). More useful information can be found on the STM’s website at www.stm.info
