Montrealers are invited to board the last original train as it makes its final runs next week on the four métro line.

Montréal, June 15, 2018 – The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) wishes to remind customers that after chalking up more than 4 million kilometres each since they were commissioned in 1966, the MR-63 métro cars will be permanently retired from customer service on June 21.

Montrealers are invited to board the last original train as it makes its final runs next week on the four métro lines, during morning and afternoon rush hours only. For the occasion, the inside and outside of the cars will be decorated in 1960s style. Vintage advertisements and MR-63 memorabilia will be on display for the enjoyment of the lucky passengers who get to hop aboard.
