Generous employees: STM hands over almost $670,000 to four organizations

News

Active and retired STM employees raised almost $670,000 in donations this year to benefit non-profit organizations sponsored by STM.

STM is well-known for its involvement in the community and our employees are the ones behind it all. The results of our latest generosity campaign are yet more proof of that, with almost $670,000 in donations collected this year to benefit non-profit organizations sponsored by STM.

This sizable contribution is the result of a major generosity campaign held annually and adhered to by 4486 active and retired company employees who generously choose to give a portion of their take home pay for the four organizations supported by STM.

The four are:

  • Centraide, with its fight against poverty and social exclusion
  • PartenaireSantéQuébec, with its work to eradicate 16 chronic diseases
  • Red Cross, with its assistance and relief for disaster victims
  • Réchaud-bus, with its meals-on-wheels delivered to underprivileged children in different areas of the city, using an STM bus turned into a mobile canteen and operated by volunteer and retired employees

STM takes pride in the involvement of its active and retired employees who all show great heart and salutes their devotion and generosity.
