Renovations at McGill station: north entrance on Union closed to clients until September

From March 31 to September 2, 2014, the north entrance on Union to the McGill métro station will be closed to clients in order to proceed with various work projects.

From March 31 to September 2, 2014, the north entrance on Union to the McGill métro station will be closed to clients in order to proceed with various work projects.

First, the owners of the building adjacent to the entrance building will carry out repairs to the concrete slab in the Parkade parking area located above the station.

Then, the STM will undertake renovations to the entrance building that will include redoing the concrete slab, adding a removable metal ceiling and replacing the floor covering as well as the doors and windows.

Throughout the work period, clients will be able to access the station via the south entrance on Union located at 1445 Union.

Since 2012, McGill station, the second busiest station in the network with more than 11.4 million passengers through the turnstiles, has been the focus of major renovations that are due to continue until 2017.
