As part of the métro's 50th anniversary, you are invited to view the very first exhibition focussing on public transportation.
For this initial showing at Escale, we are offering you a trip back in time
The current exhibition is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Montréal métro. There, you can view pictures of its inauguration never seen before.
This one-of-a-kind platform provides an opportunity to travel back in time, with telling pictures taken from the City of Montréal's archives that show how the presence of the métro put a twinkle in the eyes of Montrealers well before it changed the look and feel of the city.
So the next time you travel through Berri-UQAM station, take a break at Escale!
Halfway down the Saint-Denis corridor, you will come across an area unlike any other in the underground system: the Escale.
With its structuring design, this zone transports you to a world where time and space are suspended. Both a place to rest and get together with others, Escale offers a momentary respite while you are on the move.
Over time, exhibitions with themes relating to public transportation will liven up this showcase area.
