This architectural composition made of perforated aluminum panels was added to conceal a telecommunications room that had been added over the station’s western tunnel opening. Underneath is an abstract ceramic mosaic created by Saskia Siebrand.

Did you know?

Before this work was added, the Montréal métro featured only one mosaic, the one by Gabriel Bastien and Andrea Vau at Sherbrooke station.

About the artists

Mosaika Art & Design is a Montréal firm specializing in the production of fine art mosaics. Founded in 1998 by Kori Smith and Saskia Siebrand, it has created dozens of mosaics, notably for the subway systems of New York and Los Angeles as well as Montréal.
