Tour de l'île - Sunday, June 1, 2008

Users can carry a bicycle in the métro under the following conditions.

To reach the site of the Tour de l'île, cyclists will have access to following métro stations :

Heading out
Line Entry - from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Exit

For the return trip after the event, bicycles will only be admitted at 4 stations.

Heading back
Line Entry - from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Exit

All metro stations.
No transfer
allowed.

ORANGE

Beaubien

YELLOW

Berri-UQAM

Line 5

  • Maximum of 16 bicycles per train (leading car only).
  • In order to maintain the 16-bicycle per train ratio, no transfer allowed to another metro line at Snowdon, Jean-Talon, Lionel-Groulx and Berri-UQAM stations. This measure will apply for trips to the event as well as for the return home.
  • Bicycles are only allowed in the train’s leading car.
  • Children under 16 who travel in the metro with their bicycle must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Only regular bicycles are accepted: no tandems, tricycles, child trailers, etc.
  • It is forbidden at all times to ride a bicycle in a metro station.
  • During all other periods, the normal bicycle per train ratio applies, meaning 4 bicycles per train and only in the leading car.

Cyclists should be informed that in the event of an emergency train evacuation, bicycles would have to be left in the car for the safety of passengers.
