The STM salutes the actions taken by Société de développement Angus (SDA) to mark
En ville sans ma voiture !
Montreal, September 22, 2008 –
For the September edition of its Midis
Angus, organised each month for the 1200 Technopôle Angus workers, the
Société de développement Angus (SDA) has decided to promote Car-Free Day,
by taking part in En ville sans ma voiture !
The SDA invited all those who work in the Angus business complex to enjoy
a variety of activities promoting public transportation. As a partner to
the SDA in its sustainable transportation plan, the STM wanted to salute
their initiative and support the SDA's determination with regards to its
strong environmental stand by taking an active part in this special
Midi Angus edition of En ville sans ma voiture !
Among the many activities held that day, there was a juice bar manned by
an information agent who served up transportation cocktails to everyone as
a way of raising awareness. Visitors could also admire a LEGO block
replica of Préfontaine métro station, located next to Technopôle Angus.
Moreover, STM representatives were on hand to answer any questions about
the OPUS card, current service improvements and any other subject of
interest related to public transportation.
Bus and métro system maps were also distributed, along with Planibus
timetables for each bus route either serving Technopôle Angus directly or
making a stop nearby.
Communauto/STM : Duo Auto+ pamphlets were also handed out to anyone
interested in adhering to the plan. Finally, event partners held a draw
among the workers present for five OPUS card loaded with the monthly fare
for October.
