CIBC Run for the Cure Montreal, September 27, 2007 - To accommodate the CIBC Run for the Cure that will take place on the streets of Montreal this Sunday, September 30, some STM bus routes will be deviated between 8:45 a.m. and noon that day. Buses on the following routes will diverted during these periods:
When planning their transportation, transit users are invited to consult
the Planibus timetables or to call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (514-288-6287) for
schedule information at their bus stop. For all other information, they
can call STM-INFO Bicycles allowed in the métro During the CIBC Run for the Cure, passengers will be allowed to bring bicycles onto the subway provided that certain rules are followed. Children and teens under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers travelling with bicycles will only be allowed to ride in the first car of the train, and no more than four bicycles will be allowed per train. These individuals must give way to regular passengers, and they should not block passenger traffic or compromise the safety of other travellers. Should a train be evacuated in response to an emergency, bicycles must be left inside the front car. The STM also reminds passengers that the following activities are not allowed inside a métro station at any time: riding a bicycle or a foot scooter, roller skating and skateboarding. - 30 -
