Fund-raising in the métro
Montreal,
20 November 2005 - For the ninth consecutive year, STM employees
are organizing a vast fund-raising campaign in an effort to bring some cheer
to Montréal families in need.
With the help
of some one hundred volunteer employees, Les bonnes œuvres des
employ�s will collect funds inside 15 métro stations next November
23, 24 and 25. The money collected will serve to buy food supplies for
preparing Christmas baskets for underprivileged families. Customers will
enjoy the chance of seeing STM employees all sectors of activity hard at
work for a humanitarian cause. Last year’s campaign raised nearly $ 77 000,
allowing for the delivery of over 750 Christmas food baskets.
