« Les 40 ans du métro » contest
A record number of participants !
Montreal,
November 17, 2006 -
As part of the
celebrations for the métro’s 40th anniversary, the STM organized a contest
where participants could win one of forty one-year subscriptions to monthly
CAM passes.
Held October 12 -
30, the contest received over 162 000 entries. The STM is pleased by the
public’s overwhelming response to both the contest and the other activities
that have made the métro’s 40th birthday such a successful event.
Participants could
enter by either filling out a contest entry form published in the métro
daily newspaper or available in electronic format from the STM website.
Entry forms were accepted until midnight, October 30.
A draw was held at
the STM head office on November 7, 2006, attended by Claude Archambault,
from the STM Auditor general’s office, Mohammed Chkikar, from the STM’s
Legal Affairs department, and by Lyse Faucher and Annie Michaud, from the
STM’s Communications department.
The list of contest
winners is now available for consultation on the STM website at
www.stm.info. The STM
would like to congratulate all winners and thank all participants.
