STM fund-raising
campaign in the métro
Montreal,
15 November 2005 - For the eighth consecutive year, STM employees
are organizing a vast fund-raising campaign to help Montréal families in
need.
With the help
of some one hundred volunteer employees, Les bonnes �"uvres des employ�s will
collect funds inside 15 métro stations next November 24, 25 and 26. The
money collected will be used to buy food supplies to prepare Christmas
baskets for underprivileged families. Transit users will have the
opportunity to see employees of several STM sectors hard at work for a
humanitarian cause. Last year, during the same campaign, some $ 70 000 was
collected and over 600 Christmas food baskets were delivered.
