The STM, proud
partner of Montréal Museum Day
Montreal, 9 May 2005
- Once again this year, the STM is proud to lend its support to the
ever-successful Montréal Museum Day.
Reaching the different museums will be as easy as ever, as the Board of
Montréal Museum Directors and the STM will once again provide shuttle
service next May 29, taking museum-goers to the four corners of the city, on
their journey to discovering art and culture. Shuttle buses will be
departing from the head office of the Journal de Montréal, at 4545 Frontenac
Street, which will also serve as a clearinghouse for information about the
33 participating museums. All in all, 42 buses will carry visitors along
five specially-designed routes for the event. The shuttle service is free
and will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the Journal de Montréal, with the
last museum-bound departure at 4:30 p.m.
Anyone not wishing to use the shuttle service can still use public
transportation to take part in Museum Day, as many museums are accessible by
either bus or métro. However, visitors will have to pay their fare when
boarding regular transit.
