– The Société de transport de Montréal is advising transit
users that some bus routes will be modified to accommodate the two Santa
Claus parades that will be held next Friday and Saturday, November 12 and
13.
ONTARIO STREET, FRIDAY NOVEMBER 12
The following bus routes will be deviated at different times between 6 p.m.
and 10 p.m.: 29 – Rachel, 85 – Hochelaga, 97 – Mont-Royal, 125 – Ontario and
139 – Pie-IX.
SAINTE-CATHERINE STREET, SATURDAY NOVEMBER 13
The following bus routes will also be modified during these specified times:
From 4 a.m. to 4 p.m.: 57 – Pointe-Saint-Charles;
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: 15 – Sainte-Catherine;
From 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.: 66 – The Boulevard, 165 –
Côte-des-Neiges and 166 – Queen Mary;
From 9:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: 107 – Verdun;
From 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.: 61 – Wellington, 80 – Av. du
Parc, 129 – Côte-Sainte-Catherine and 168 – Cité-du-Havre;
From 9:45 to 4:30 p.m.: 55 – Saint-Laurent.
The STM is inviting anyone attending either parade to use
the métro. As ridership levels are usually higher after such events, the STM
also recommends that transit users purchase their return fare in advance.
