Montreal, 13 May 2004 – Claude Dauphin, Chairman of the STM Board of Directors, is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with the 152 members of the Fraternité des constables et agents de la paix regarding the renewal of their collective agreement until January 2008.

As with the other agreements reached with the STM’s four other unions, this work contract calls for an increase in total remuneration of 8.7% over a four-year period.

With this fifth agreement, the STM has effectively renewed the work contracts of some 98% of all union employees it was negotiating with. The conciliation process with the Syndicat des employés du transport en commun-CSN, representing some 190 divisional clerks, is still underway.
