Press releasesSTM services during the holiday period Montreal, December 12, 2003 Due to the Christmas and New Year holidays, schedules for certain Société de transport de Montréal services will be modified. The majority of bus routes will provide regularly scheduled service according to the day of the week, except for Thursday, December 25 and Thursday, January 1, when the majority of buses will run on a Sunday schedule. Unless otherwise indicated in the Planibus schedules or on the Infobus panels, most routes will run on a Saturday schedule on December 26, and on a Sunday schedule on January 2. There will be no public taxi service in the Anjou, Lachine/Dorval and Senneville Road/ Sainte-Marie sectors on December 25 and 26 or on January 1 and 2. In the case of Paratransit, regular service will be provided throughout the holiday period. Registered users should simply make their reservations using the normal methods. Customer service will be closed on December 24, 25 and 26 as well as on December 31, January 1 and 2. On December 29 and 30, clients can reach Paratransit from 8 :30 a.m. to 4 :30 p.m. at 280-8211.
métro service
On Friday, December 26 and Friday, January 2, the green, orange and yellow lines will run on a schedule similar to the Sunday schedule. However, trains will be added on the green line between 12 :30 p.m. and 6 :30 p.m. on December 26 to facilitate travel for Boxing Day shoppers. As for the blue line, it will run on a Saturday schedule for these two days. The STM reminds those attending the ball in Place Jacques-Cartier on December 31, that, as the métro is running on a normal Wednesday schedule, the last departure from the Champ-de-Mars station towards Henri-Bourassa will be at 12 :52 a.m., and the last departure towards Côte-Vertu at 12:55 a.m. From the Place-d’Armes station, the last train will depart towards Henri-Bourassa at 12:51 a.m., and the last train towards C�te-Vertu at 12 :56 a.m.
