Santa Claus is coming to town
Modified routes on the STM bus network
Montreal, November 13, 2003
The Société de transport de Montréal wishes to inform
its clientele that changes will be made to the routes of several bus lines
for two Santa Claus parades that will take place on Friday, November 14 and
Saturday, November 15.
Ontario Street, Friday November 14
The routes for the following lines will be modified
at various times between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.: 29 - Rachel, 85 -
Hochelaga, 97 - Mont-Royal, 125 - Ontario and 139 - Pie-IX.
Sainte-Catherine Street, Saturday November 15
There will be no service on line 15 -
Sainte-Catherine between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., or on line 150 - René-Lévesque between
9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
In addition, the routes for the following lines will
be modified at the times indicated.

From 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. : 108 - Bannantyne;

From 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. : 57 - Pointe-Saint-Charles, 63 - Girouard, 66 - The Boulevard, 90 - Saint-Jacques,
104 - Cavendish, 138 - Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, 144 - Av. des Pins, 165 -
Côte-des-Neiges and 166 - Queen Mary;

From 9:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. : 107 - Verdun;

From 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. : 61 - Wellington, 80
- Av. du Parc, 129 - Côte-Sainte-Catherine and 168 - Cité-du-Havre;

From 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. : 55 - Saint-Laurent.
The STM suggests that people attending the parades
use the métro. As ridership levels are usually higher after an event than
before, it is a good idea to buy your return ticket ahead of time.

plan their transportation to these events, clients are invited to call
A-U-T-O-B-U-S (288-6287) to obtain the schedules at their bus stop. For
additional information, transit users can call STM?INFO (786-4636). A great
