New bus route |

Starting August 16, 2004, a new bus service will be launched on Industrial
Boul. and Jean-Viel and April Streets of the Pointe-aux-Tremble Industrial
Park. The new rush-hour route will be in operation on weekdays. With two departures in the morning and two in the afternoon, line 25 will link the Pointe-aux-Trembles Industrial Park to the terminus for line 460 located on Les Galeries-d’Anjou Boulevard using the Autoroute 40 Service Road. This route will improve transit service to about 2,800 employees working for over 137 companies in the area. The Industrial Park is already linked to the Honoré-Beaugrand métro station by line 184 Métrobus Bout-de-l’Île. A partnership between the STM and la Société de développement économique Rivière-des-Prairies/Pointe-aux-Trembles (SODEC) made this project possible. The 20 weeks cooperation, to end on December 31, 2004, could be renewed, if ridership is high enough. |
