Have you heard the
new métro pre-announcement chimes?
Some improvements have been brought to the
announcements made through the métros PA system in order to increase the quality of
messages to customers and métro employees. One of these improvements was the introduction
of a chime before each announcement. When hearing one of the three different chimes, one
will immediately know which type of message will follow: The first, a four-tone chime, is
played before announcements to métro customers; The second, a two-tone chime, precedes
messages to employees; And the third one, a four-tone chime, is heard before special
service disruption messages.
Familiarize yourself with the chimes; when youll hear them in the
métro, youll know if it is important lend an ear!
