Do you stand near the curb when you
wait for a bus?
Doing so is very dangerous. If you stand near the curb, you risk being hit by the
bus’ right mirror. When the bus approaches the stop, the bus driver must keep an eye
on traffic. So, even if he or she is driving cautiously, it is possible for one standing
near the curb to be hit by a mirror.
In order to avoid such accidents, we ask
pedestrians to keep a distance from the curb when they wait for a bus.
