Transfers

The transfer is a temporary transit fare given to a commuter who has paid his/her fare with money or with a ticket.

It permits the boarding of more than one STCUM vehicle in order to complete a trip. It does not however allow the holder to make a return trip or to temporarily interrupt his/her commute and then resume the journey using the same bus route.

A transfer is valid for a 90-minute period from the time it is issued. The time that is printed on it indicates when the validity period will end.

On the bus, the transfer is issued by the driver upon request. In the métro, it must be taken from one of the transfer dispensing machines at the station of departure. It should be noted that a transfer issued in the métro cannot be used to take the métro again.

In the métro, the transfer must be inserted in the turnstile or remitted to the ticket collector. On the bus, it must be given to the driver upon boarding. If your trip is not completed, keep your transfer in order to board other vehicles until you arrive at your final destination.

Transfers also give you access to commuter train service; from downtown to the Bois-Franc station (Montréal/Deux-Montagnes line) and from downtown to the Dorval station (Montréal/Rigaud line). For a small surcharge, equal to the cost of a single ticket, you have access to the Roxboro-Pierrefonds (Montréal/Deux-Montagnes) and Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue (Montréal/Rigaud) stations.
