Long on space and comfort ... Get on board!

The Société de transport de Montréal invites you to climb on board the completely new model in the LFS Artic series of articulated buses from Nova Bus.

Two model buses will be tested in Montréal over the coming months in order to evaluate their performance and configuration. These tests will enable you to express your opinion on the new interior design, on the available space and on the capacity of the new model. Following these tests, Nova Bus will begin production on all the vehicles ordered by the Quebec transit companies.

These buses will be in service on routes 80 Avenue du Parc, 165 Côte-des-Neiges, 535 Parc/Côte-des-Neiges Reserved Lane during the coming weeks.

More comfort, more seats for passengers

Passengers should appreciate
the comfort of this new vehicle
as it will be easier to move
around inside. The layout of the seats and support poles has
been redesigned, making the
aisle wider than in the regular buses. Add to that a new
window design in the rear providing more light. Full-width windows that open at the top ensure better ventilation. This 18.9-metre-long vehicle (62 feet) includes seating for 46, as compared to 31 in a regular bus, as well as four vertical backrests.

The arrival of the articulated
buses should contribute greatly
to improving the quality of service on the busiest routes by reducing crowding aboard the vehicles.

The STM invites you to try out the two model buses. This is your opportunity to provide us with your comments, either by responding to the questionnaire in the bus or by clicking : commentaires@stm.info
