How to travel with the Reduced Fare Access Card

Aboard the metro or the bus...

There are four ways to travel with the Card

Paying the Reduced Fare in cash

When paying your fare in cash, you must show your Reduced Fare Access Card to the bus driver or the metro fare collector to be allowed to pay the reduced fare. In the metro, hand your money to the station fare collector. You'll then receive your change with a ticket which you'll just have to drop in the fare box. In buses, cash payments are also accepted. However, exact fare is required since bus drivers do not provide change.

Paying the Reduced Fare with tickets

Tickets are sold individually or in strips. When paying your fare with tickets, you must show your Reduced Fare Access Card to the bus driver or the station fare collector while dropping your ticket in the fare box. You should note that access to metro stations is not possible through the automatic turnstiles with reduced fare tickets. You must pass in front of the fare collector.

The Reduced Fare CAM hebdo (Weekly Pass)

In the metro, you just need to slide your CAM hebdo into the swipe reader on top of turnstile while showing your Access Card to the station fare collector. Valid from Monday to Sunday, the CAM hebdo entitles its bearer to unlimited trips on metro and buses. This pass is on sale from the Friday preceding its validity period and until Tuesday.

The Reduced Fare CAM (Monthly Pass)

In the metro, you just need to slide your CAM into the swipe reader on top of turnstile while showing your Access Card to the station fare collector. The Reduced Fare CAM of preceding month is accepted on the first day of the following month. The CAM bearer is entitled to unlimited trips on metro and buses for the whole current month. This pass is on sale on the 25th day of each month.
