Question Time!
Regular fare – or reduced fare, if applicable – is mandatory to board low-floor buses. However, you do not have to show your fare to the driver. If you do not have a monthly or weekly pass, you will have to pay by the means of a payment envelope. The envelopes are available by calling at the STM Customer services Centre or the RUTA 514 255-0765. No money should be sent in these envelopes; only tickets or cheques in the name of the STM are accepted. What if a failure happens late at night? In order to avoid problematic situations, we strongly suggest that you travel during the paratransit operation hours. Is the service available during winter? The accessible service is available year-round. However, it might be suspended for a few days after a heavy snow or ice storm. To get the latest news on this matter, listen to the messages on the accessible service section of the A-U-T-O-B-U-S automated telephone service (514 288-6287). This information is also available by calling at the RUTA (514 255-0765). Is the service offered on all low-floor buses? Yes! All low-floor buses in service on accessible routes provide service to wheelchair users. Are all types of wheelchair accepted onboard? Regular wheelchairs, Motorized wheelchairs and power scooters are accepted. However, dimensions should not exceed 117 cm in length (46 inches) and 66 cm in width (26 inches). Note that wheelchairs equipped with a large bag in the back might be problematic.
