Information on
the bus stop panel
All bus stops are not alike! The height of the curb, the gradient of the
street, the presence of a depression in the curb (driveway entrance for
example) are some of the reasons why the boarding procedures might differ
from one stop to another. To know what the procedures will be at a specific
stop, just look at the bus stop panel.

On panels of the old model

The accessible service is only available at stops bearing the universal
accessibility symbol. The symbol may be displayed within a blue square or an
orange circle.
|
 |
If the
accessibility symbol appears in a blue square on your stop:
Once the regular customers have exited
or boarded the bus, the driver kneels the bus (lower the bus so the step
is closer to the sidewalk) and deploys the ramp; |
 |
If the accessibility symbol appears in an orange circle on your stop:
Once the regular customers have exited or boarded the bus, the driver
will not kneel the bus, but will deploy the ramp. |
